Google releases Nano Banana 2.1, its updated fast image model
The successor to Nano Banana 2 is generally available in the Gemini API as gemini-nano-banana-2.1. Google cites better visual quality, prompt following, character consistency across edits and text rendering, plus new extra-wide aspect ratios.
