Retro Codex Resets

Codex resets

A Codex usage reset restores spent Codex usage limits early, for everyone or for some plans. We log every announcement, banked reset and completion report with its original source, and count a reset as completed only when a post reports it.

How Codex resets work

Resets are announced on X, usually as a global reset for everyone or for specific plans. Some are banked: a credit you redeem later instead of an immediate reset. A plan or an announcement is not proof that a reset ran, so each entry below is labelled Completed, Reset report, Announced, Banked reset or Update.

The counter above moves only when an original post reports a completed reset. Read how we verify resets.

Every entry below that is more than an update has its own page with the original post, scope, sources and timing. Show this counter on your site with a last-reset badge.

Questions

When was the last Codex usage reset?
The last Codex usage reset we recorded was on 11 October 2026, reported as completed in a post by @thsottiaux.
How often are Codex usage limits reset?
There is no fixed public schedule, and we do not predict the next one. Since September 2025 we have logged 113 Codex entries: 39 completed or reported resets, 35 announcements, 15 banked resets and 24 other updates.
Where are Codex resets announced?
Codex resets are announced on X. Of the 113 entries in our log, 113 come from posts by @thsottiaux (113), and every entry links to its original post. Other reset trackers only help us find posts; they are never the source.
Does an announcement mean my limits were reset?
No. An announcement or a planned reset is logged separately and never moves the last-reset date. We only count a reset when an original post reports it as completed. Retro AI Tracker never accesses accounts, so your own limits may differ.
