Claude Models on Google Cloud (Anthropic managed) is generally available

Google Cloud customers can now use the full Claude Platform, including Managed Agents, code execution and Opus 5.5 fast mode, through a service run by Anthropic that uses Google Cloud IAM credentials, billing and commitment drawdown. The Google-managed offering remains available.

On 22 October 2026 Anthropic made Claude Models on Google Cloud (Anthropic managed) generally available. Anthropic runs this service and acts as the data processor, while customers sign in with their existing Google Cloud IAM credentials, pay on a single Google Cloud invoice and draw down their Google Cloud commitment with Claude usage. US and Global endpoints are available for now.

The Anthropic-managed offering has the full set of Claude API features, and new features and betas arrive on the same day as on the native Claude Platform. The list includes Claude Managed Agents (beta), code execution, computer use, agent skills, the advisor strategy (beta), the Files API, citations, web search and web fetch, the MCP connector (beta), prompt caching and batch processing, plus the Claude Console. Fable 5.1, Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 are available.

Fast mode on Opus 5.5 is also generally available there. It offers up to 2.5 times faster output and costs $8 per million input tokens and $40 per million output tokens.

The Google-managed offering stays the option for customers who need Google as the data processor, strict regional data residency or native Google Cloud integrations such as Model Armor or Agent Engine. Customers with an existing discount are asked to contact their account executive before switching, because discounts cannot be applied retroactively.
