Is Claude down right now?
This page shows what Anthropic's official status page reports for claude.ai, Claude Code and the Claude API, read at most once a minute. If a part shows Unknown, the official page could not be read; open it directly.
Why does Claude not work for me when the status says up?
Status pages list incidents the provider has confirmed, and new incidents can take a few minutes to appear. A problem with your network, browser, app version or account will not show there. Try another network or the web version, and check whether you have hit a usage limit.
Where is the official Claude status page?
Anthropic publishes it at status.claude.com, including incident history. This page reads the same data and links to it.
Is a Claude usage limit the same as an outage?
No. When you run out of your 5-hour or weekly allowance, Claude works again when your limit resets, while an outage affects everyone. Anthropic also sometimes resets everyone's limits early; our tracker logs each of those resets.
