Anthropic moves its monorepo off git to an in-house system, Scion
Daily merged changes at Anthropic grew from about 2,500 in May to more than 30,000 in September as Claude wrote more of its code. Anthropic says git-based tooling became the bottleneck, so it built its own version control system and migrated in five months.
